As we become ever hope full for the winds to calm and the skies to turn blue, it really does make us reflect on what will grow well and survive in our gardens. This winter saw particularly bad spells of heavy rain and wind, and of course only certain plants can live with that kind of treatment! The hardiness of plants describes their ability to survive adverse growing conditions. How will certain varieties cope under exceptionally severe weather conditions, well, the answer is some will and some won’t. Gardening can be wonderfully experimental although taking advice from those in the know should lead you to making the right choices for hardy plants that will survive in your garden.
